All Hail the Empress!

The Cigar of the Month in November is El Septimo’s Empress of Sheba. The Emperor Collection features cigars named for some of history’s most iconic rulers and our cigar of the month, the Empress of Sheba, honors the biblical Queen of Sheba who was the Queen of Egypt and Ethiopia and reputedly brought gifts to King Solomon of the Israelites.

The Empress of Sheba is a maduro-wrapped 6 x 60 Gordo cigar with a smooth flavor profile. It celebrates and reflects on the African-American experience.

“I was asked by a dear friend to design a cigar that reflects on the rich history and culture of African Americans. Before we started to design this cigar, we wanted to find a powerful person in African history to be part of our Emperor Collection. The search ended soon when we learned the history of Queen Sheba,” says Zaya Younan, CEO of El Septimo.

The blend is a proprietary one that uses tobacco from Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Nicaragua.
